The physical health of the body improves greatly with proper nutritional and energetic care. Yet what cannot be over looked is strengthening, stretching and relaxing the body to insure good physical health.
Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga practice enhances energetic health, yet these disciplines also strengthen, stretch and relax the body to improve the physical health of the body.
At
Holistic Healing and Health we offer a variety of classes in Qigong and
Tai Chi throughout the year. Classes are offered at different
locations throughout the community, and private Qigong sessions are taught
to individuals or small groups at our
Silverdale
Healing
Center
by appointment.
Tien
Lung Heavenly Dragon School of Tai Chi and Qigong
At the
Tien Lung - Heavenly Dragon
School
of
Qigong
and Tai Chi, we specialize in teaching over 20 forms of Qigong and 6 forms
of Tai Chi.
Our teachings emphasize “energy self-care” for better health and
fitness. Qigong and Tai Chi are effective for improving physical strength
and stamina, while they improve oxygen intake, joint range of motion,
balance and coordination. Qigong
and Tai Chi are very effective in reducing stress and help manage negative
emotions.
All
forms of Qigong and Tai Chi improves the flow and balance of energy (qi),
which will improve health and minimize acute and chronic symptoms which
manifest physically due to qi stagnation, depletion and imbalance.
However, at Tien Lung we
teach many forms of Qigong and several forms of Tai Chi which were created
for specific symptoms and disease states, and therefore will tonify,
cleanse, harmonize and balance more deeply than other forms.
We can guide you to the training and/or therapy that would be most
suitable for your needs at this time.
The “energetic self-care” of Qigong, Tai Chi and Energetic
Therapy have shown positive results and support the healing of the
following symptoms, illness and disease states:
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is the most famous Chinese martial art and dates back over 4000 years. Tai Chi is a system of
meditation and physical exercise, consisting of carefully coordinated natural movements and gradual body rotation. Tai Chi is a powerfully effective art form that has been proven to relax and strengthen both the body and the mind, and is suitable for any age or fitness level.

The US government has recently revised its definition of high blood
pressure to include numbers previously considered ideal. Now,
any reading of one 120/80mm Hg or higher is considered something to
watch or to treat.

|
Like Qigong, Tai Chi stresses the natural balance in all things and the need for living in spiritual and physical accord with the patterns of nature. Tai Chi means
"the supreme ultimate", and consists of exercises equally balanced in both yin and yang, which is why Tai Chi is so effective as a means of exercise and as a way of maintaining a healthy body and mind. Yin and Yang are complimentary opposites, working in perpetual balance.
Recent studies have found Tai Chi to be as affective as a 30 minute brisk walk for lowering high blood pressure. Tai Chi is also an effective exercise for those who have been diagnosed with arthritis or fibromyalgia. Both the gentle movements and improvement in internal energy flow assist in reducing pain and improve strength and range of motion in joints.

Qigong
|

|
Qigong ( pronounced chee-gong) dates back 5000 -7000 years, and is "the
mother" of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and all Chinese Martial Arts, including Tai Chi and Kung Fu. Qigong is a science, philosophy and an art, and it's branches include Medical Qigong, Spiritual Qigong and Martial Arts Qigong.
Qigong actually means "to work with energy", and this ancient form of gentle exercise cultivates and improves the flow of qi (chee) in the body, while it gently improves strength and flexibility.
Qigong's simple movements are relaxing and meditative in nature, and the postures may be done sitting or standing. Qigong is the perfect exercise for both young and old, takes only minutes to perform and requires no special talent, props or clothing.
|
Qigong exercise is ideal for those who are unconditioned, frail, physically limited &/or who suffer from acute or chronic illness, for it improves physical stamina and the bodies ability to heal itself.
Our center specializes in many forms of Qigong. Our Director is completing a 5 year program in Healing Qigong, and will be bringing a variety of Qigong exercises to the center for specific diseases, illnesses and symptoms.
